“Advanced Electric Signs is amazing to work with. Dave offered several options and designs when creating and installing our business signs. He later changed an old sign to LED which eliminated our almost constant bulb burn outs. If you are looking for 5 star signs, call Dave!”

A Note from the Owners

We started Advanced Electric Signs in 1992 because we got tired of watching businesses get the runaround from sign companies that didn’t show up or stand behind their work. When you call, you get Dave, Tara, Woody, or someone on our team who actually knows your project.

The rest of the story (how we run the shop, who is on the crew, and the credentials behind the work) is on our About page.

We Design, Install & Repair Electric Signs Across Washington & Oregon

We’re a second-generation, family-owned sign company in Woodland, WA, and the third generation is already on the way. We build and install electronic message centers (EMCs), channel letters, LED signs, and pylon signs; we retrofit existing signs to LED when your housing is still good; and we repair what we install and what we didn’t.

Franchise & multi-unit: we work often with franchisees and know how to hit corporate sign specs in every detail (The Barbers is one example), so your program book isn’t approximated in the shop.

Budget-friendly: it doesn’t have to be all brand-new; we keep used cabinets and signs in our yard when we can reuse them, put your logo on new faces, and work with what you already have on site when that stretches your dollar furthest.

True one-stop shop: you don’t need a pole or footing in place. We can handle utility locate, engineered drawings when required, footings, rebar, and concrete, pole or structure, then design and install the sign so you are not stressed coordinating half a dozen trades.

Before we fabricate, you’ll get visual mockups on photos of your location plus drawings. Preview, adjust, and approve. Have a logo? Great, we use your art. Need one? We can redraw it for the sign.

We work with property managers and businesses across Washington and Oregon; permitting from start to finish: engineered drawings, electrical permits, sign permits. See our local pages for Woodland, Vancouver, WA, Portland, OR, and Longview.

Property managers

One point of contact for design, permitting, fabrication, and install. An electronic message center can advertise multiple tenants, leasing, and events without repeating face changes. We give you a timeline you can take to ownership.

Franchise & multi-unit

We work from the spec manual, not an approximation. Channel letters, pylons, and EMCs that match corporate drawings, the same way we do for brands like The Barbers. Send the spec book with your quote request.

Property Managers

We handle design, permitting, fabrication, and installation so you do not have to coordinate four vendors. One point of contact, clear timelines, and a strong fit for multi-tenant visibility including electronic message centers (EMCs).

Where is Advanced Electric Signs located, and what areas do you serve?
Advanced Electric Signs, Inc. is based at 1550 Down River Dr, Woodland, WA 98674. We serve Washington and Oregon along the I-5 corridor: Woodland, Vancouver, WA, Portland, OR, and Longview.
Not sure what type of sign I need?
Start with how far the sign needs to be read and whether the message must change. Storefront channel letters for brand identity; electronic message centers (EMCs) when promotions or leasing messages change often; monuments and pylons for road presence; vinyl or banners for short-term needs. Call (360) 225-6826 and we will help you choose before you spend on the wrong path.
What sign services does Advanced Electric Signs offer?
We’re a second-generation family-owned shop, with the third generation on the way. We offer full-service sign design, fabrication, installation, and repair: electronic message centers (EMCs), channel letters, LED, neon, pylon, monument, scoreboards, vinyl, banners, crane & lift, vehicle graphics, maintenance, and emergency repair. Permitting end-to-end. See all services.
Will I see what my sign looks like before you fabricate or install it?
Yes. For every customer we prepare visual mockups with drawings. We composite your sign onto a photo of your actual building or site so it looks like it’s already installed; you can preview the look, request adjustments, and approve before we build. That way you know exactly what you’re getting and there are no surprises on installation day.
What if my business doesn’t have a logo file for the sign?
If you already have a logo and usable artwork, we work from that. If you don’t, we can redraw or recreate the logo so it’s clean and ready for fabrication; you’ll still see it on your site photo mockup and approve before we build.
Can you help if I’m on a tight sign budget?
Yes. We work to maximize your budget. We keep used cabinets and signs in our yard when we can put them back in service, usually with new faces and your logo. We also reuse sound equipment already on your site when it makes sense. Not everything has to be brand-new. Tell us what you have and what you want to spend. Fabrication & options · All services.
What is the timeline for a sign project?
Timeline depends on the project: design, mockup review and your approval, permitting, fabrication, and installation. We give you a clear timeline when we discuss your project. We respond quickly and work to meet your deadlines.
How can I get a free quote for sign work?
Call (360) 225-6826 or send a quote request with the job site address, photos, and what the sign needs to do. We typically respond the same business day. No-obligation estimates for design, installation, or repair.
What are Advanced Electric Signs’ business hours?
We are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Saturday and Sunday are closed unless by appointment.
